Coastguard Cottage is situated at Penmon Point, overlooking Puffin Island and the infamous Penmon Lighthouse with far reaching views to the Great Orme and Snowdonia. This delightful semi-detached former coastguard cottage was built in 1926 and is only a few hundred yards from the rugged shoreline of the north eastern corner of Anglesey. It is located at the end of a toll road leading from the historic Penmon Priory (a 13th century Augustinian House) with its original holy well and famous dovecot... The toll road is free to cottage guests.
Beaumaris with its renowned medieval Castle and excellent range of restaurants and hostelries as well as a superb selection of interesting shops is only 4 miles away. Whilst the village of Llangoed boasting a pub, post office and shop is only 2 miles away.
Coastguard Cottage consists of a ground floor bathroom, with bath and shower attachment, a brand new fully fitted kitchen, with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave and toaster etc. A lounge/dining room with comfy furniture and T.V. and a sitting room which is ideal as a children’s play room or somewhere to sit and relax at the end of a busy sightseeing day, admiring the views across the garden to Puffin Island. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms and, guess what? Wonderful views from each window! There is a double, a twin and an adult sized bunk bedded room and a shower room. The property has central heating, T.V’s, DVD player, iron and ironing board, cot and high chair.
Outside there a fairly large enclosed garden with furniture and BBQ, and there is ample car parking space for 2 cars. A caravan is in a fenced off area in the garden which is occasionally used by the owner’s mother.

Coastguard House was love at first sight for owners Tracy and Robert Reece who desperately want to come and live here and will do when circumstances are right, so may we suggest that you take advantage and enjoy a relaxing break before they settle.
Penmon Lighthouse, or Trwyn Du Lighthouse, to give it its correct name, was built in 1837 and was probably built as a direct result of the Rothsay Castle disaster which occurred 6 years earlier on 17th August 1831 when 130 passengers and crew lost their lives when travelling from Liverpool to the Menai Straits in atrocious weather.
