The cottage is owned by Sion and Elizabeth Gittins, who were married in Llanallgo Church, in 2008. The church was also the setting for the wedding of the Irish songstress Sinead O’Connor in 2002. Sion is from a large local family, born and bred on Anglesey, whilst Liz originates from Dublin, Ireland. Additional Information
It is considered likely that the great Victorian author Charles Dickens, would have stayed at, or at the very least visited Ty'n Llan during his investigation into the “Royal Charter” disaster of 1859, as part of his assignment as a reporter for a London newspaper. Many of the dead from that maritime disaster are buried in Llanallgo Church opposite the cottage.
